NVQ Qualifications
People seem to think that maintaining a successful business is rocket science, and I admit – it is a difficult thing to do well, but in my opinion, running a good business is all about what you put into it. My boss is actually the only boss I’ve ever known to put so much effort into training his staff, allowing us to obtain vocational qualifications and NVQ qualifications, depending on our skill set and the areas in which we wanted to progress.
It might sound cheesy but it really does strengthen the morale of the work force and make you feel like there’s a reason for going into work every day, other than the monthly pay cheque. Cos, let’s face it; you got bored working on the same thing day in day out, with no prospects of future development. But having the opportunity to harness my strengths and develop them by achieving my vocational qualifications has been fundamental to my development as a person as well as an employee.
